TV personality, mom and animal activist, Michelle Garforth-Venter is a household name in South Africa.
She’s passionate about bringing wildlife and conservation issues to the public arena and has travelled around the world presenting wildlife-focussed TV shows and documentaries.
She’s also an avid reader, and is particularly fond of crime novels. Find out in the interview below who she thinks is one of the ‘sexiest crime writers on the block’.
South Africans will know Michelle as a former Top Billing presenter and co-host on SABC’s Morning Live. She has even authored a book called ‘The Green Line: a South African Guide to Green Living’.
In October 2011, The Green Line TV show and book was nominated for the David Attenborough International Green Awards, held in the UK. Nominated in the category ‘Best Sustainable Education’, Green Line was only one of two entities on the African continent recognised by the judges.
